I Started a Blog

I watched a Bee Gees documentary the other night, and find myself humming “I Started a Joke” as I type the title to this post. Starting a blog about 20 years too late somehow make the lyrics seem even more fitting.

Away from the madness of maximizing likes by optimizing hashtags within my carefully crafted niche on Instagram, here I shall happily muse away in complete obscurity. This excites me in the same way that “shelter-in-place” did back in March.

I started a joke which started the whole world crying,
But I didn't see that the joke was on me.
I started to cry which started the whole world laughing,
Oh If I'd only seen that the joke was on me.

Oh, and Happy New Year.
